Cl@ve is Spain’s electronic identification system that allows residents and citizens to access and manage online public administration services securely. It serves as a digital identity for interactions with government websites, including tax filing, social security, healthcare, and more.
Types of Cl@ve:
1. Cl@ve PIN – A temporary, short-term access method where you receive a PIN via SMS or the Cl@ve app.
2. Cl@ve Permanente – A long-term username and password system with added security for frequent use.
3. Cl@ve Firma – A qualified electronic signature for signing official documents digitally.
How to Get Cl@ve:
To register, you need a DNI (National ID) or NIE (Foreigner ID) and a Spanish phone number.

• If you have a digital certificate or DNI electrónico, you can register entirely online via the Cl@ve website.
• The system will verify your identity, and you’ll receive immediate access.
Option 2: In-Person Registration
If you don’t have a digital certificate:
1. Go to a Cl@ve registration office (e.g., Agencia Tributaria, Social Security offices, or certain town halls).
2. Bring your DNI/NIE and passport (if applicable).
3. You’ll receive an activation code to complete registration online.
Option 3: Postal Registration
