Neighborhood Spotlight: Arrancapins

The Arrancapins neighborhood, located between Pérez Galdós and Fernando el Católico avenues, is the result of the expansion of the city of Valencia, known as Ensanche, which occurred at the end of the 19th century with the demolition of the walls in 1865. It occupies a space where the suburb of San Vicente was formerly located, and the church that gave its name to this area outside the walls of Valencia, the place where San Vicente Mártir is supposed to have been buried.

It is located in the center of the city and is bordered to the north by La Petxina , to the east by La Roqueta and Ruzafa , to the south by La Raiosa and to the west by Patraix . Its population in 2022 was 22,491 inhabitants.

In recent years, restaurants have grown in this area. Without having the hustle and bustle and the gastronomic offer that Ruzafa has, in Arrancapins we find truly affordable and delicious places. In addition, you can go out to have a drink in its pubs. Quiet and modern places, salsa bars and rock clubs. All with the peace of mind that comes with discretion.
