āš ļø Tourism tensions

People in Spain better figure out their tourism anger because tourism is not going away — it’s growing.

We’ve been living in Spain for three years and it’s been amazing. We contribute to the economy, support local businesses, and respect the culture and community.

But this is a new era — and unfortunately an entitled attitude from some travelers has become too common.

When visiting Spain (or anywhere that is someone else’s home), you are a guest.

šŸ” Be respectful

šŸ“š Learn about the culture

šŸ¤ Blend in and be courteous

ā³ Be patient

Even if you’re spending money, remember: you’re still a guest in someone else’s house.

Tourism should be a positive force for both visitors and locals. Tourists are welcomed guests — act like an invited guest.

And when you see tourists behaving badly… call it out.

If you don’t like Spain’s culture or the rules of their home — that’s your choice.

But don’t blame them.

šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡ø Tourism didn’t create this incredible country. Their culture did.
