ā ļø Tourism tensions
People in Spain better figure out their tourism anger because tourism is not going away ā itās growing.
Weāve been living in Spain for three years and itās been amazing. We contribute to the economy, support local businesses, and respect the culture and community.
But this is a new era ā and unfortunately an entitled attitude from some travelers has become too common.
When visiting Spain (or anywhere that is someone elseās home), you are a guest.
š” Be respectful
š Learn about the culture
š¤ Blend in and be courteous
ā³ Be patient
Even if youāre spending money, remember: youāre still a guest in someone elseās house.
Tourism should be a positive force for both visitors and locals. Tourists are welcomed guests ā act like an invited guest.
And when you see tourists behaving badly⦠call it out.
If you donāt like Spainās culture or the rules of their home ā thatās your choice.
But donāt blame them.
šŖšø Tourism didnāt create this incredible country. Their culture did.
